I know it’s technically still Summer and the temperatures have proven that Summer will definitely be here for a little while longer. But let’s face it – it’s August and we’re already thinking of our Fall outfits. Okay, maybe that’s just me, but whatever. You know who’s having a major moment right now? Banana Republic. Seriously, over the past couple of years , they are really starting to hit the mark when it comes to great fashion for both work and play. Their Pre-Fall/Fall collection is now in stores and it is hitting. From color palette to textures to accessories, this collection is by far one of my favorites. I dare say it rivals the collection that J.Crew put out. When I say that, you know I must really love it – after all J.Crew is still at the very top of my list when it comes to #workoutfitgoals. Can we talk about textures for a minute? Can we just take a moment. Suede and ostrich are playing a big part in Banana’s collection. And the color palette. Neutral, neutral, neutral. That’s just perfect for a gal like me who is ALWAYS running late and would like to take the guesswork out of putting together the perfect outfit.

Now what about those lazy Saturdays when you just want to relax – maybe run a few errands, do some grocery shopping, have a couple of your favorite gals over for brunch? I’ve always been a believer that even if it’s going to be a relaxed day it doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to *in my mother’s voice* “let yourself go – one most always be prepared just in case I don’t know – the Obama’s happen to ring your doorbell wanting tea and cucumber sandwiches.

I think my favorite from this new collection would be the outfits pictured below. I really like them for work. It must be that creative streak in me. Mixing casual pieces with formal and more traditional pieces for that relaxed but polished look.
