Hope everyone had a great weekend. The temperature drop was pretty drastic over the past two days here in NYC and we even saw some light flurries in Jersey Thursday night. I know it’s kind of cheesy but I’m going to say it – WINTER IS COMING! In two weeks Black Friday will be upon us. Deals & steals and sometimes MAYHEM! Thank goodness for online shopping. Here’s what I have in store for you guys over the next few weeks leading up to Christmas. Each week, I will be featuring holiday gift options for every category that is featured on the Weekly Roundup. Well then, shall we?
For the Professional Fashionista
So there’s a fashionista in your life – a girlfriend, a sister, a cousin, a bestie. Well like I said – WINTER IS COMING! That cute little leather jacket just won’t make due during the frigid months. Then you have your “a-ha” moment. She’s fashionable – yet practical. Here are some great gift ideas that will make her holiday.
From left to right:
For the Natural Beauty
A little lipstick and mascara and she’s ready to go. Never overdone because there’s no one to impress. She’s flawlessly flawed and that’s why we love her. She rarely touches up, but she’s always glowing. She’s probably the easiest person to please on your list because she’s appreciative of whatever you give her which is why you want it to be the best. Here are a few things that you know she’ll love.
Like Music to Their Ears
This is for the music lover. The one that constantly has their headphones on no matter where they go. The one who’s basically downloaded every new artist months before they’ve become mainstream. Musically well rounded, they can be found listening to an opera one minute and hip-hop the next. Then you notice it. The headphones that are practically glued to their ears are falling apart. BINGO! Headphones are an order here. Here are three options to choose from that won’t break the bank.
Marc by Marc Jacobs + Urban Ears Headphones – $60 (comes with a Zoundplug so that they can share their music with friends)
Frends X Baublebar Layla Headphones – $179 (comes with changeable covers and bonus earrings)
Kate Spade Le Pavillion Bluetooth Wireless Headphones – $128 (up to 6 hours of music or talking time with one charge)
For the Aspiring Thespian/Theater Critic
The theater, the theater, the theater. It’s the one thing that they can’t stop talking about. They may not be actual actors, but in their heart of hearts they truly believe they could have been or at the very least they think that they could have been a theater critic. Well, if they live in the city then they’ve probably heard of Sleep No More, but have they actually seen it. I have had the pleasure of seeing this show twice and each time the experience is different. Definitely a different way to experience theater, they’ll get the chance to interact with the props and visit various rooms and floors. If you get a pair of tickets and you decide to accompany them, it’s a great way to share your experience as both of you will have seen different parts of the story. It also a great experience, you wear a mask throughout the entire experience – it’s a little Eyes Wide Shut in a non-sexual sort of way.
For the Hostess
My favorite part of the post this week is the gift to get the hostess. This gift packs a punch (pun intended). This 10-Piece Punch Party Set from Crate & Barrel is the perfect gift for the hostess. Holiday drinks for up to 10 people can be made and served. It’s simple and not overly holiday so you can be sure that the hostess will bring this out every time she throws a soiree.
Well that’s it for this week’s edition of the Weekly Roundup Holiday Edition. Check back at the end of this week for the second edition and keep watching for more gift ideas right up until Christmas. As always, remember to SEE. TOUCH. TASTE.
