The Sephora VIB event is less than a week away and it’s time to start building your cart so that you can save on your favorite items and stock up for the season.
Inkey List Fulvic Acid Cleanser
The perfect daily cleanser at an unbeatable price. This gel cleanser (my personal favorite formulation type) gently cleanses and exfoliates the skin while tackling dark spots, dullness and uneven texture.
Drunk Elephant Slaai™ Makeup Melting Butter
This is the queen of all cleansing balms. A creamy formula that contains fruit extracts and a nourishing oil blend that melts off even the most stubborn water-resistant makeup while gently exfoliating dry skin.
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow PHA + BHA Toner
This toner has been a favorite ever since its launch over three years ago. It was the first toner that I tried that had an essence-serum texture. The hydration that this toner delivers alongside pore-tightening actives minimizes the look of pores by gently exfoliating the skin with PHAs and BHAs. If you suffer from dehydrated skin, this is the toner that your skin will love and you will see noticeable improvement in your skin’s texture in as little as two weeks.
Fenty Skin Fat Water Hydrating Milky Toner Essence
Of all of the products that Fenty Skin has released, this one is by far my favorite and most re-purchased. This toner-essence hybrid is my go-to nighttime toner. It’s packed with tamarind and hyaluronic acid to visibly hydrate and plump your skin while using pantheon to support your skin’s moisture barrier. It instantly absorbs into the skin leaving it ready for your favorite moisturizer.
The Ordinary Soothing & Barrier Support Serum
While this serum is new to the market, its has definitely made an impact. I’ve added this to my daytime skincare routine sandwiched between brightening serum of choice and my moisturizer and my skin has been thriving. For those of you who suffer from redness, dryness or uneven texture, over time you will notice these conditions decrease and reveal even, hydrated skin.
InnBeauty Project Retinol Remix
We’ve all heard that including retinol in your skincare routine is crucial to combat fine lines and improve the overall texture of your skin. That can be challenging at times because retinol can wreak havoc on your skin during the acclamation period. I’ve been through it and until I found this product I had a love/hate relationship with retinol. What makes this serum different is that combines vegan retinol, peptides and tranexamic acid to target wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and large pores without the irritating side effects. It is so gentle that I am able to use it every night but if you are a newbie start out with using this 2-3 times per week until your skin builds up tolerance. You’re welcome.
Summer Fridays Light Aura Vitamin C + Peptide Eye Cream
This is my favorite daytime eye cream. It not only reduces the appearance of darkness under the eye with the help of vitamin C but also uses a peptide blend to firm and minimize the look of fine lines and wrinkles. It has a slight shimmer effect that works on virtually any skin tone (while not looking like glitter) and wears beautifully under makeup. It also contains caffeine to help de-puff for a wide awake look even if you only got a few hours of sleep.
Inkey List Polyglutamic Acid Dewy Sunscreen SPF 30
This couldn’t be a Sephora VIB event recommendation post without me including at least one sunscreen. If I didn’t then every other recommendation would be useless. I know we’ve all hear this before and that’s because it’s true. One of my recent favorites is this one from The Inkey List (so you know it’s affordable and effective). It’s the trifecta when it comes to sunscreen as it protects, hydrates and even primes skin. Don’t be concerned that this is a “dewy” sunscreen. As a combo-oily girly I can firmly say that this gives more of a glow-from-within finish that wears beautifully under makeup. It also contains squalane which helps hydrate, sooth and protect your skin.
Summer Fridays Mineral Milk Sunscreen SPF 30
For my girlies who prefer a mineral sunscreen look no further than this one from Summer Fridays. This serum sunscreen leaves virtually no white cast and feels light as air on the skin. Like the Inkey List sunscreen it also contains squalane to hydrate the skin. As a bonus it also contains vitamin E to and antioxidants to protect your skin against free-radical damage.
Glow Recipe Avocado Fine Line Eye Cream with Retinol
Glow Recipe has entered the chat again with this nighttime eye cream. It’s formulated with encapsulated retinol that is safe for use around the eye area. It also contains avocado oil to fight wrinkles, sooth and nourish they skin surrounding the eye area.
Summer Fridays Cloud Dew Moisturizer
This is the lightweight moisturizer that you will use all year round. I have recommended this moisturizer so many times since it launched and I will continue to do so because it’s just that good. It is perfect for all day hydrated skin and is formulated with amino acids to provide antioxidant protection alongside pineapple enzyme to smooth and soften skin. I should also mention that this is another product that wears beautifully under makeup.
Glossier After Baume Barrier Recovery Cream
If memory serves me correctly Glossier described this rich moisturizer as “a puffer jacket for your skin”. What better time to stock up on this gem of a moisturizer than during the cooler months when no matter what skin type you have your skin typically drier. For my dry skin girlies this is your winter skin savior. For my normal and combo skin girlies this is the nighttime moisturizer of your dreams (see what I did there). Formulated with Cupuaçu Butter that is effective at retaining moisture, Green Microalgae Extract that is full of vitamins and minerals to help your skin survive in extreme conditions and Linoleic Acid lock in water while locking out all the bad stuff that stress our skin.
So there it is, these are my skincare recommendations that you should consider adding to your basket before the fall Sephora VIB event starts this week. What are you adding to your cart?
