It’s no secret that I try a lot of products because I love sharing my experience and I’m always curious to see what is new on the market that addresses my skin concerns. For context, I have combo-oily skin with slight hyperpigmentation. That being said, I love a glowy finish that does not look greasy. This can be a challenge during the warmer months but over the past year I have tried a few products that have really leveled up my skincare game. Here are the three products I have recently added to my skincare routine that have given me smooth, hydrated, glowing skin.
Glossier Cleanser Concentrate
Honestly speaking, it has been a while since a skincare release from Glossier has caught my eye. I have been pretty satisfied with the cleansers that I had been using over the past year but was open to trying something new. What is unique about this cleanser is that it combines the exfoliating power of lactic acid with niacinamide to strengthen your skin barrier while also targeting skin conditions like hyperpigmentation and fine lines and wrinkles. I have been using this day and night and have significant difference in my skin texture. Previously, I always stayed away from clarifying cleanser as they usually left my skin feeling stripped of hydration but this left my skin feeling plump and nourished.

Summer Fridays Soft Reset AHA Exfoliating Solution
With my combination skin, I love an AHA anything. I first started using this product when it first launched and I don’t know why I ever stopped. It was part of my monthly favorites and picking this up again reminded me why. This was the first product with such a high percentage of AHAs at 13 percent, that is still gentle for me to use every night (except for nights when I am using a retinol). This is like pore refinement in a bottle. Within two weeks of use, I noticed that my pores in my cheek area appeared significantly smaller and showed less texture. In the morning my skin has a real lit from within glow and my skin is noticeably smoother.

Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Oil-Infused Serum
If you don’t already know, squalane is a phenomenal ingredient. If you have combo-oily or oily skin, do not shy away from this product. I use it both day and night and I now am looking for this type of formulation in all of my hydrating serums. This bi-phase serum adds extra hydration while nourishing the skin leaving it with a healthy glow (do you see a theme here?). A few shakes into my palm and then pressed into my skin is just what my skin needs before going into my treatment serum. You get a lot of product for the price and I can really this becoming a staple product during the fall and winter months when skin tends to look a little less plump and a little dull. Definitely recommend this. It does have a noticeable rose scent that does fade quickly.
