You need to add vitamin C to your skincare routine—full stop. Here are my top vitamin C serums deliver. In case you’re still unclear why vitamin C is essential I’ve broken it down to three key reasons:
- Protects against free radical damage
- Evens skin tone
- Promotes collagen production
For reference I have combo-oily skin (oily in my t-zone and normal everywhere else).
Summer Fridays CC Me Serum
This serum is effective in improving or maintaining your skin tone with 2 forms of vitamin C to help fade dark spots for a more even appearance. It strengthens your skin’s barrier and provides additional moisture with the the inclusion of niacinamide and squalene. With daily use, I saw significant reduction in my brown spots and overall my skin looked and felt hydrated within a month.
Hyperskin Hyper Clear Brightening Clearing Vitamin C Serum
This serum is for all my acne prone skin type people. Although this has a significant amount of vitamin C—coming in at 12 percent, it is packed with other ingredients including salicylic and hyaluronic acid to minimize future breakouts while hydrating the skin for a smoother, blemish free complexion.
Tula Brightening Drops with Triple Vitamin C Serum
The latest vitamin C serum that I have tried and recently emptied is this powerhouse from Tula. Full disclosure—I recently started working for the brand. Like all of their skincare it’s infused with probiotics and probiotic extracts. Along with their triple vitamin C complex works to balance, lock in moisture and reduce the appearance of dark spots. I was so impressed that I made sure to add this serum to my vitamin C rotation.
Glow Recipe Pineapple-C Glow Serum
This was the first vitamin C serum I purchased when I realized that I needed to incorporate vitamin C in my skincare routine. I am obsessed with the glass skin aesthetic. Glow Recipe was the brand that delivered with their Watermelon Glow Sleeping mask and Ultra-Fine Mist. This serum brightens, hydrates and exfoliates with AHAs. The results reveal smooth, glass-like skin. The only downside I have is the smell, because the formula consists pineapple juice at 22%. The results can be seen within 1-2 weeks of consistent use leaving you with a summer glow.

If you choose to incorporate vitamin C in your daytime routine it is important to use an SPF of 30 or higher. Are you using SPF? What is your current fave? Let me know down in the comments!
