Well August just flew by. How is it that we are in September already. Anything I’m about to say about WFH has been said in so many other posts that you can just refer to those posts. As per usual, this is my monthly post on new (and new to me) products that I tried during the previous month and now I’m ready to give you my feedback.

Skincare

Fenty Skin Total Cleans’r Remove-It-All Cleanser – I am pleasantly surprised that this made it to my monthly favorites. While Fenty Skin has been met with mixed reviews mostly because of the scent found in the products, I have to admit that despite the scent (which I actually enjoy) this is a great cleanser. I love how creamy this is and it really feels moisturizing on the skin. I’ve been using it for over three weeks everyday and each time I use it I like it more than I did the last time I used it. This is a great second cleanser and is very gentle. If you have sensitive skin i would not recommend this as it might be a irritating to your skin because of the fragrance. While this may not be my holy grail cleanser (Summer Fridays you will always be bae), it’s one that I would repurchase.

Makeup

Pat McGrath Labs Limited Edition MTHRSHP: Rose Decadence – Yes, it’s another palette from auntie Pat and I’m here for it. I will say that this is a collector’s palette. If you have all of the other rose-inspired palettes (MOTHERSHIP VII & VIII as well as the Ritualistic Rose quad palette) then this will complete that collection. The shades are easy enough to use for single shadow looks or you can create several looks with this one palette. What I like about this palette is that it is a transitional palette. While the pink does lend itself to more summer eye looks, the shade Scandalous is a beautiful deepening shade that can create soft, sultry looks.

Sigma Beauty Soft Blend Brush Set – So our new normal has given me a lot of time to practice new makeup techniques and good tools are key. I’ve always been more of a brush user than a sponge user. I have a bunch of blending brushes but when I saw this set, I knew I had to have it. The set contains 6 long hair blending brushes that are perfect for blending eyeshadow for that blown out effect, a diffusing powder highlight brush, a blurring concealer blush, a slim under eye setting brush, a diffusing blush brush perfect for applying more shimmery blushes and a large powder brush to dust setting powders. This is a great set and would be great addition to your brush collection. I would highly recommend.

Fashion & Home

Frvrmood Matcha Business Candle – I was that person who definitely couldn’t wait for this to launch. I mean, if it has Jackie Aina behind it it’s going to be good. These candles did not disappoint. I purchased two of the candles Caked Up & Matcha Business. I was most excited for Matcha Business because of the scent. These are going to be incredible Fall scents. Both Caked Up and Matcha Business are warm scents that remind me of cozy Sunday fall mornings with coffee cake and a hot matcha latte reading a novel…I know very Norman Rockwell but like Black. I’m probably going to get the other two scents. One for every room in my apartment. While they are currently out of stock they should be re-stocking soon so definitely follow them on all the socials at @forvrmood or visit the website here.

Luv AJ Pave Amalfi Hoops – If you have been following me for a while, you already know that Luv AJ is one of my favorite jewelry brands. I have always wanted a pair of their classic Amalfi hoops but they were always sold out by the time that I would be ready to purchase them. Earlier this month, I was browsing their site as one does on a summer afternoon and found these on their site. They are a lot of bling and I love it. Basically with these hoops you don’t need any other jewelry. They sparkle and are can be worn both day and night . Now that we’re required to wear masks everywhere this is a way to upgrade your look with one statement piece. I love these earrings. I wear them whenever I can and I actually want them in all the colors. You can view them here. If you’re more of a classic hoop, shop the classic version of these hoops below.
