Good to the Last Drop: More Products I Finished

Well, would you look at that? I have finished a few more products this month. I am really impressed. At this rate, this might become a monthly series on the blog. Some of these should come as no surprise as I’m always talking about them, there are others that I was determined to finish and some new favorites that I haven’t been able to put down. This is going to be long one but there are some really good products that you might have had your eyes on. Well, you know I love to try stuff so there might be some repeats from my last empties post but there’s a lot of new or new-ish stuff that you’re going to want to try. Links to the products can be found at the end of this post.

IGK Offline 3 Minute Hair Mask – I just talked about this in my previous post. This hair mask is everything. It literally changed the way that my hair feels and for me I use at as my regular conditioner every time I wash my hair. Whatever is in this product is pretty magical because it’s been a really long time since my natural hair has felt this good and if you’re one to wear protective styles, you know that the nourishing of your natural hair is top priority.

IGK Antisocial Overnight Bond Building Dry Hair Mask – Another product from IGK that I have been using since it launched. I use this on my natural hair and my human hair wigs. When I first started using this, I would use this primarily on my wigs. I love a dry conditioner as part of my wig maintenance and for me, this product is a like a super-charged dry conditioner that also repairs frayed ends and ultimately restores the body and luster of my wigs. After I started using Offline as my weekly conditioner, I would spray this on my natural hair before rebraiding for my protective style and I noticed less shedding and left my hair feeling so soft. Like the Offline Hair mask, I have backups of this product in my hair arsenal.

Vichy Mineral 89 Hyaluronic Acid Face Moisturizer – Tried and true. I know it’s called a moisturizer, but for me this is a hyaluronic serum. I use this almost every morning after toning and it has never failed me. It’s lightweight and absorbs into the skin. I like to use this after applying my active serums and then finish with a lightweight moisturizer. Hyaluronic acid in my opinion a must in any skincare regimen regardless of skin type. It’s a hydration booster that

Sweet Chef Ginger Vitamin C Serum Shot – As far as Vitamin C serums go, this one is a good one for the price point. For those of you not familiar with the Sweet Chef brand, it is the sister brand to Glow Recipe. In the serum shot collection there are three serums and this one is my favorite. I wrote an initial review on the entire Sweet Chef collection here. What I like about this serum is that it is extremely gentle, yet effective. Basically it does it’s job. Each time I used it I noticed that my skin looked bright and smooth. It also plays well with my other serums. I primarily used this in the morning and would use it in conjunction with my hyaluronic acid serum. If you are looking for an effective Vitamin C serum at a lower price point then this is one that I would definitely recommend. I have not repurchased it because I am trying out a new Vitamin C serum that I will be sharing my thoughts on in the next few weeks.

Glossier Future Dew – This is one of my favorite products from the Glossier skincare line. What really drew me in about this product is that it’s a hybrid oil-in-serum product. At first I thought that it wouldn’t work with my combo skin (I have normal skin around the perimeter of my face and an oily t-zone). Surprisingly, it agreed with my skin. I bought it late fall last year and it was amazing to use under my sunscreen and my skin felt and stayed hydrated all day even with the harsh winter winds (I work very close to the Hudson River in NYC). Since I’ve been working from home, I decided to finish this product. I especially like the way that this looks under matte foundations because it gives matte foundations some life without compromising the wear time of the foundation formula. I would highly recommend this product and have already repurchased this. I am trying a new moisturizer at the moment, but when the cooler months come back, I definitely will be using this again.

Summer Fridays Super Amino Gel Cleanser – Who would I be if I didn’t have at least one Summer Fridays product in my blog post? This is a great gentle cleanser. Every time I use this I feel like I’m at a spa. It smells so good and is the perfect daytime cleanser. It cleanses and refreshes the skin without stripping it. It’s not a foaming cleanser but I’ve also used it as a second cleanse once or twice in the evening to remove my makeup and it was effective. I use this every morning and at this point, this will be my morning cleanser from now until eternity.

Summer Fridays R + R Mask – I might have said this in one of my many Summer Friday reviews, but of all of the masks that Summer Fridays has launched, this is my favorite. This is my daytime mask. Since working from home, I can wake up cleanse and then use this mask while making my morning coffee and answering emails. I leave it on for ten to fifteen minutes and then wipe it away. Honestly, I look like I’ve been kissed by the sun. Dull skin where? Skin is hydrated, glow is there without looking oily or greasy and it layers perfectly under my sunscreen. Did I mention it also gently exfoliates and has actual rose petals without an overpowering rose scent? Do I recommend this—absolutely. Have I repurchased this? Since the launch, I have gone through two full-sized tubes and this mini size. I have two backups because I can’t live without it.

Olay Premium Body Conditioner – Well look who’s made it to my empties list again—it’s like I don’t know how to shower without this. Last month I used the Vitamin E version which I really like but the Shea Butter version is my absolute favorite. I really like the scent which is light and pleasant in the shower and doesn’t interfere with any fragrance that I wear. I’ve gone through two bottles of this since my last empties post. I don’t know what else to say other than your skin will thank you.
