It’s kind of surprising, but I notice that when you read or hear about skincare it seems like no one is ever talking about lips. Truth be told I don’t feel like lips gets the same amount of love as the rest of our face. Yes, there will always be Chapstick®, but with wearing matte liquid lip products on the regular your sometimes going to need a little TLC when it comes to your lip products. When it comes to getting the perfect pout there are four things that you will need—a lip scrub, an overnight lip treatment, a lip oil, and a lip balm. Here’s a few of my favorites that you’ll want to keep in your stash.
Lip scrubs are a big part of lip care. Just like your skin, you need to exfoliate regularly to remove dead skin. Here are a few choices that will smooth your lips without being to harsh on such delicate skin.

I highly recommend that everyone should have a lip treatment. Lip treatments work best overnight and add the necessary amount of moisture overnight so that when you awake your lips are hydrated and soft to the touch.

When it comes to lip oils, I personally like to use them as the first part of my daytime skincare routine. While going through the rest of your skincare routine, a lip oil is great because it absorbs quickly and preps your lips for matte lipsticks allowing them to glide smoothly over your lips. I’m currently in love with Ciaté’s Watermelon Glow Lip Oil, but there are some others that have been mainstays in my collection.

Everyone loves a lip balm. They are hydrating, can be used anytime and anywhere and can be worn alone for a natural look or on top of a matte lip for added dimension.
