It’s finally that season where you get to wear your favorite fashion items—Fall. Not only that but it’s also one of the best times to find deals on transitional pieces that will instantly become staples in your wardrobe. I put together a list of what I consider to be Fall essentials that will not break the bank, however, if you’re feeling “spend-y” I have an option for you too.
Bomber Leather Jacket
Yes, we all know that a leather moto jacket will always be a closet staple, but you might want to switch it up. I’m a girl who loves a little embellishment and these two picks have just that. Even with all over embroidery, so long as the silhouette is classic it’s sure to become an additional option in your closet.
Tall Leather Boot
Pretty sure everyone has a tall leather boot in their closet, but you if you don’t have one already, you might want to add a more comfortable option to your wardrobe. The stretch fabric backs make it easier for larger calved women to wear this coveted style. These two options are as stylish as they are comfortable, and neither one will break the bank.
There should always be a romantic lace dress that you can wear from day to night. These two options are both fashionable and are the perfect length for the fall. Wear it with your favorite booties or tall heeled boots under a leather jacket.
Ladylike Athletic Sneakers
At this time, I would like to thank Jenna Lyons for making sneakers a part of your everyday work outfit. I don’t know if I should be wearing sneakers three times a week to work, but until someone says otherwise, I’m wearing this style of sneaker as often as I can. I’m especially in love with Puma’s Basket New School Bow sneaker pictured here with dark denim and textured weave jacket.
High Waist Jeans
There are high waisted jeans and then there are high waisted jeans for curvy girls. These two options are for the latter. Never have I come across denim that literally moves with you and conforms to every single curve. Here are two options – classic and distressed. (These are also within just about everyone’s budget—you’re welcome)
Long Textured Jacket
Let me explain why a long textured jacket is essential for fall. If you’re anything like me—a girl who loves her denim but also likes to look professional, then this is the jacket option for you. What this style of jacket does is streamline your look with clean lines, while adding a little flair.
Feminine Combat Booties
Nothing is as comfy as sweatshirt once the temperature drops. I like having that comfy feeling with me all day and I think everyone should. Whether at the workplace or out for a fall brunch, here are two options that you’re going to be wearing right through the winter.
Knife Pleated Skirt
Knife pleats—there’s something about them that whisper elegance. When I saw this red option at Zara’s I knew I had to make it part of my wardrobe. It’s elegant and unexpected. The other option is going for a more classic option like this maxi length. Picture it with a white t-shirt and pull out your leather moto jacket and ladylike sneakers. Are you seeing what I’m seeing? (FYI: I’ve already worn this combo)
Oversized Denim Jacket
A denim jacket is your best friend in the fall. It’s even better when it’s slightly oversized. This oversized silhouette is perfect for layering your favorite t-shirts and lightweight sweaters when the temperatures start to drop but it’s not cold enough to put on a coat. They can be worn with just about every type of footwear in your wardrobe—booties, tall boots, sneakers or your favorite pumps. A pair of leather leggings is always a win, so go ahead—with this piece you’ve got options.
