You know that feeling when you know you’ve perfected a nighttime skin regimen? Well, what if there was a way to step it up a notch and ensure that the following morning you could wake up with skin that literally glows? Enter sleeping/overnight masks. Sleeping masks are not new to the skincare market—in fact they have been a skincare staple in most K-Beauty skincare regimens. I actually started using a sleeping mask before I actually knew that I was in fact using a sleeping mask. It started about two years ago when I stumbled upon K-Beauty brand Caolion. After using their Pore Pack several times, I stumbled across their Pore Tightening Memory Sleeping Mask. It was the texture that really got me. It had a jelly/slimy texture that spread easily and left my skin extra glowy. I didn’t use it everyday and eventually I shelved it because Glamglow came out with their Dream Duo Overnight Transforming Treatment. I really loved that product. I used it every night and went through four jars. Then just two months ago, I learned about Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Sleeping Mask. Not ready to commit, I bought the travel size. I waited about a month before actually using it, and I really like it. It smells great and had the slimy consistency that I associated with sleeping masks. Each one of these masks are have similar claims but their are some differences. I’m going to go through each one and if you’re in the market for or just curious about using a sleeping/overnight mask this might help you in making a decision.
