About Face: Sephora Purifying and Mattifying Zinc and Copper Mud Mask

Hey ladies! It’s about time for another About Face post. Today I’ll be talking about my latest mask find. It’s the SEPHORA COLLECTION Purifying and Mattifying Zinc & Copper Mud Mask. As the warmer months right around the corner it’s time for us to get our skin right so that we can always have that glow. First off, I just love a mud mask. One of my faves have been Origins Clear Improvement™ Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores. I love it because it keeps those pesky black heads at bay and does seem to minimize the size of pores (if that’s your issue). Not that I needed a new mask, but when I found out that it absorbs excess sebum – girl, I was all over it, plus I was on the hunt to find a cheaper alternative to my beloved Glamglow™ Tingle Exfoliate Treatment Mask. During the late Spring and Summer months oily skin tends to produce so much more excess sebum. It’s a bummer because I find myself constantly using blotting papers/powder which either remove my foundation or have me looking like a cakey mess by the end of the day because I have used my blotting powder like 8 times. The claim that it absorbed excess sebum was major key for me.

I’ve been using this mask in the mornings twice a week and I kind of like it. The texture is similar to Glamglow™ Tingle Exfoliate Treatment Mask in that it has an exfoliating property to it because the formula is a little gritty but not harsh on the skin. It dries pretty quickly. Once you rinse it off, your skin will feel smooth to the touch and is ready for the rest of your regimen. I usually follow up with RoC Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer with a drop or two of Cover FX Custom Infusion Drops (my favorite is C+ Lemongrass). Lastly, the price point is fantastic –  $19. Unfortunately it is not available online but you can find it at your local Sephora. What are some of your favorite masks? Share in the comment section below. Until next time, always remember to SEE. TOUCH. TASTE.
