Harlem Hot Spot – Bed of Nails NYC

Anyone who knows me well knows I love a royal treatment of any sort. As a child in my home I was dubbed with the moniker Queen Elizabeth. What can I say – I like the finer things in life *shrugs*. Now that I’m moving back to my stomping grounds – Harlem (all day, everyday) I was determined to find a nail salon in my area that gave me the royal treatment I was looking for at an affordable price tag (this girl has to watch her chips now). This past weekend I spent time with my sister at Harlem’s Bed of Nails located in the heart of Harlem on Adam Clayton Powell Blvd between 134th & 135th streets. Voted Best Up-and-Coming Neighborhood Spot by Refinery29 (so you know this place is legit) this place will make you feel like the queen you are. Completely stocked with the latest colors and best nail polish brands including Marc Jacobs, Deborah Lippman and Christian Louboutin whatever your royal heart desires can be brought to life (and trust me there’s no funky business going on like thinning out nail colors).

First, I’d like to talk about the service. You can either book your appointment or walk-in. Either way, you will be seen within a few minutes and enjoy a beverage while you wait – YAAAAS! The very attentive staff works efficiently – not just quickly, making sure that you are completely satisfied with your service.

Next, the decor – OMG! Fit for the queen that you are, the decor is dark yet regal. Sit in comfy chairs while getting your manicure or plush velvet Queen Anne chairs while your feet are pampered. They offer six manicure options and three pedicure options for women, two “menicure” and two pedicure options for men. Going with your little princess? Well, they have options for children under twelve as well. I love that they call it Diva in Training. They open as early as 11 a.m. Tuesday through Sunday and close at 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 6 p.m. on Sunday. Click here to view the entire menu. I could say so much more, but you know what they say – a picture is worth a thousand words.
