Scents the Moment – My Go-To Scents for the Fall/Winter Season

It’s that time of year where I share my go to scents for the season. This season, I came across three scents that will be in heavy rotation.

The first is the newest addition to the Marc Jacobs Daisy family – Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever. Ever since the launch of the original Daisy, the only other fragrance in the family that I loved was Daisy Eau So Fresh. It was a light fragrance that I wore almost everyday during the summer when it launched. Since then, I’ve gravitated to darker, woodier scents – but then I smelled this and WHOA! It’s fruity, but in a different way. I immediately thought of dark berries once it hit my skin. It reminded me of the crisp Fall air – you know – that subtle “just-before-Thanksgiving” scent. Needless to say I was sold.

My next scent is Balenciaga’s B. Skin. It’s a floral scent but with woody notes. I’m very visual when it comes to fragrance and with this one, once it hit my skin I closed my eyes and immediately thought of long drives to wherever and seeing the changing leaves of Fall. It’s almost like you’re not wearing anything at all, so the name is perfect – Skin.

My final scent is one that I think I will reserve for special nights. Maybe taking in a show, a late night dinner (I told you I was visual when it comes to scents). This is by far my favorite. It’s Simply by Jil Sander. My favorite scent by Jil Sander is Scent 79 which sadly I can’t find anymore. I received this bottle when I attended an event at the Jil Sander Madison Avenue location benefiting the Park Avenue Armory. The first thing that drew me to this scent was the packaging. I am a minimalist at heart and this bottle spoke to me. The name – I love it. It’s simple – hence, Simply. I imagine this will be sitting pretty on my vanity.

Until next time always remember to SEE. TOUCH. TASTE.
