It’s hot out there and I need my concealer to stay put. For us gals with oily skin, we sometimes dread having to wear makeup in this heat. I mean with all the creasing and melting, I was just about done with my concealers. Like any other beauty enthusiast, I searched countless blogs and videos to see what concealer has been tried and true and would stand up to the mid-summer heat. I swear, lately it’s been like I say a prayer to the makeup gods and they answer. I found two awesome concealers that give full coverage and stand the test of time. The first is the Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Concealer. I use this over the Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation. It blends nicely and gives you a natural finish. Not to mention it controls shine really well. I especially like to use this to cover up my blemishes. You need very little, though I will say that you should work quickly when applying because once it’s on – IT’S ON and it’s not going anywhere. The second is from the Becca line – Ultimate Coverage Concealing Creme. This is great for under eye concealing. It’s a creamy formula that won’t settle into your fine lines and doesn’t crease. What makes this even better is that there are so many shades to choose from so you’re almost guaranteed to find your exact match. Use this with your beautyblender to get into the corners of your eye. Once applied and blended use a setting powder to bake the look. I checked in six hours later and I was still good. For the days when you look just a little tired, apply Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector over your favorite under eye primer (I happen to favor Smashbox Photo Finish Under Eye Brightening Primer), and blend. The results are flawless and the wear is pretty much all day.
