This past week I had the pleasure of attending a few events that were nothing short of amazing. It was great to connect with so many talented people and learn new things along the way.
The first event that I attended was Digital Sorority Sip & See. Digital Sorority was founded by beauty and lifestyle blogger Ty Alexander of Gorgeous in Grey, TV host/producer/entertainment lifestyle authority Kela Walker, and fashion and technology aficionado Christen Rochon of Divas & Dorks. These women are among the most influential digital content creators in the country. What makes them so successful is their unique voice and their ability to deliver fresh content that engages the consumer, whereby generating a community of advocates for the brands they represent. Genius. For many lifestyle bloggers, what these ladies have achieved is what we aim for. Now there is a community where we can bounce ideas off of one another, gain further insight into how the digital space works and have a little fun too. The event was sponsored by several prominent beauty brands and we had a blast. Here are the snaps to prove it. If you are not following these empowering women, I don’t know what you’re doing with your life. Click on their names above to be taken to their sites. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t come back here though! (I kid, I kid).
Next, I had the pleasure of attending an event at bareMinerals Soho Shade Shop featuring up-and-coming designer LaRen Bierria-Williams and her skirt line YFF. The brand features pencil skirts that can be paired with just about anything.
I personally would have styled each of these options differently, seeing as I am more of a laid back classic type of gal, but if your personal style leans more towards urban couture, this is definitely a brand that you will love.
And then of course it was time to shop. Lately, I’ve been getting pretty lost at the bareMinerals Shade Shop. I slowly fallen love with so many of their products. If you guys remember, I was all over Complexion Rescue and when bareMinerals finally launched their Bare Brush Bar, they introduced the Smoothing Face Brush – geared specifically for flawless application of Complexion Rescue. I tried it and WHOA – you pretty much NEED this brush in your life! First off, it’s so soft on the face. I absolutely love it! The dual fibers give you an airbrush look that everyone is trying to achieve. I’ll be doing a post shortly showcasing this brush.
Well that’s it for this edition of the Weekly Roundup! Always remember to SEE. TOUCH. TASTE.
